Our Story

Welcome to Koh Samui International Church.  

We are a non-denominational Christian church located on Koh Samui, Thailand and our message here is simple; Jesus Christ is Lord.   

Koh Samui International Church was established by Pastor Herman Grundlingh and his wife Charmaine in November 2015 and 18 months later they returned to South Africa. 

In April 2017 Pastor Jean Le Grange and his wife Charlene lead the church for 12 months and they too returned to South Africa. 

In June 2018 Pastor Russell arrived on Koh Samui for what was a 12-day visit which eventually resulted in him relocating to Koh Samui in September 2018. 

With humble beginnings in March 2019, he took over the Pastoring of the church and within a few months the world was facing the Covid-19 pandemic and the world as we knew it underwent a radical transformation. 

For the best part of two years, he preached to empty chairs armed with a Bible, a mobile phone and a guitar determined not to close the church’s doors.  

Since those early days God’s love, grace, mercy, faithfulness and provision has resulted in the ministry to no only impact Koh Samui, but also Indo-China, India, Pakistan 

Our congregation is made up of people from all over the world (85 countries), and our vision is to one day preach the Gospel in 7 languages.  

We currently offer service in English, with translations in Thai.
